Weekend classes

Summer weekend classes are basically a waste of time, I've found. No one shows up. Well, not true, enough show up to straggle through till the end of the eight weeks rather pathetically. There seems to be many more interesting things to do on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon than haul your dog to class. Or the flip side of that - its just TOO hot to take him in the car! Hot days and dogs and cars do not mix well. I understand that.
It's funny though, I've often stood there on a nasty, cold, blowy, snowy winter night and thought, Man, I wouldn't come out in this, if I wasn't being paid to do it. And yet people show up.
But turn up that heat and no one wants to move.
Week nights aren't bad. Its light out till late. People tend to keep more of their regular schedule during the week. Go to work, come to puppy class.
Warm summer weekends feel too much like vacation, I'm thinking.
Add that to a BIG party here in town today

And I think I'll be twiddling my thumbs all day.
Or maybe I'll create a celebration of my own - weiner dog race, anyone??
