I say the biggest difference between puppy class and beginner class is that in puppy class people come in cradling their new baby cooing 'isn't he the cutest thing ever in the history of things??"
and they come, dragged, into beginner class, teeth gritted complaining "make him STOP!!!!".
But then, beginner class is where you see the biggest change "finally! he quit! He stopped! He won't! he doesn't ANYMORE! YAY!!!" Beginner class parents are often more motivated than puppy class. "She doesn't have to if she doesn't want to! She can get by on her charm and good looks!" Yeah, that works for a while.
Of course, I like private lessons, too. You, me and whatever it is you want to do. A man with a gorgeous german shepherd came in once "make him stop eating my toilet paper!" That was it. His only issue.......and shutting the bathroom door did not seem an option for a reason I could never figure out. A lady came in with a lab puppy and three adorable young girls "they can't walk him down the street". By the time class was over, they could. 
BUT! Puppy class tonight! I'll be following this class in my blog - no names, just breeds and what happens. Watch and learn along with us!
