I am very lucky. My job entails petting puppies most of the day. Playing. Enjoying - and sometimes even boggling. I love seeing the different breeds, kinds, sizes, personalities our four legged furry buddies come in. Although I live in only a medium sized town, I see quite a few interesting dogs.
Yesterday I saw my first Tibetan Mastiff puppy. He was only four months old and owned by the same lady who brought in the very first Leonberger I got to drool over. What a gorgeous dog!
Havanese and Coton de Tulear used to be rare but I've seen quite a few of them lately.
And then there are the mixed breeds. All my doodle puppies as I call them - the golden-doodles, labradoodles, I didn't see any until just a few years ago, and now they seem to be running the show. There are a lot of little mixes - yorkie-poos, malti-poos, cavashons, etc etc. Cute little buggers, and sometimes smarter than we are.
On the other hand, when I see a collie, its always a rare, breathtaking sight. You just don't see many of them any more.
Chinese Crested aren't uncommon either - warm, naked little babies.
What kind of dog would you like to see wander into your life?
